Mission.

Tio Pelon knew they wanted to be able to proactively find troubled areas in their fields as well as having more accurate crop yield estimates.

They did not know what technology existed to solve their issue.

Outcome.

Read articles and studies of implementation of drones for crop monitoring in Asia and Latin America.

Determined that an automated mapping drone with an infrared camera to take Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) readings and an agricultural monitoring software would allow them to take periodic scans of their fields, identify problem areas proactively, and better predict year over year rice production.
